Better Campus & Student Facilities

Improve classrooms with projectors, fans, curtains, power extensions, and student printing facilities. Upgrade toilets, water dispensers, and other basic sanitary facilities. Create dedicated student corners for studying, eating, and relaxing, with accessible whiteboards and microwaves.

Stronger Student Voice & Academic Policies

Push for fairer resit and retake policies, including proper semester gaps and access to marks. Ensure mandatory feedback on coursework and access to lecture notes. Improve transparency in Faculty Representative activities and meetings. Advocate for better class scheduling, breaks during long sessions, and fewer Saturday classes.

Clubs, Workshops & Student Development

Give faculty clubs greater visibility through induction, exhibitions, newsletters, and shared promotion. Organise practical workshops in soldering, welding, IoT, robotics, and other technical fields. Expand seminars with international bodies and industry professionals, and turn workshops and student participation into competitions and collaborative projects.

Industry, Internships & Career Opportunities

Organise an engineering-focused career and industry fair. Facilitate company site visits before internships so students can make informed choices, and advocate for exposure to different departments during placements. Support students who face transportation difficulties getting to industry placements.

A More Connected & Sustainable Faculty

Increase Faculty of Engineering student involvement through outings, site visits, and team-building. Organise recycling and e-waste initiatives, and create student-led projects and collaborative workshops. Replace traditional Faculty Week activities with practical Saturday project exhibitions.

Establish a dedicated FoICDT Society, increase faculty recognition and student involvement, and create a Wall of Fame to celebrate outstanding students and lecturers.

Skills, Workshops & Innovation

More hackathons and practical workshops in AI, robotics, and emerging technologies, so students have more chances to build, compete, and collaborate.

Better Student Support & Connectivity

Launch the FoICDT Online Platform for senior-to-junior guidance and support, and improve Wi-Fi coverage across Phase II.

A Better Campus Experience

Introduce more benches and dedicated spaces to study, work, and relax. Develop FoICDT Map Phase 2 to help students, newcomers, and visitors navigate the buildings.

Better Access & Recognition

Improve student access to FoA ground parking during examinations, and recognise students and staff who contribute to the faculty's success.

Redirect university shuttle buses to cover the route during key hours, including 9am, noon, and 2pm.

Past Papers Bank

An unofficial Google Drive bank of past papers so students can practise with real questions before exams.

Student Bookshelf

A Students' Union bookshelf with books students choose. If that does not work, push for an up-to-date online platform such as UpToDate.

Anonymous Suggestion Platform

A simple anonymous Google Form for campus issues, with QR codes so students do not have to hunt for a link.

Ebene Facilities

A better common area with a coffee machine, microwave, and fridge, in collaboration with Will. Also bidets, a sanitary pad dispenser in the med toilets, a plumber for overflowing toilets, better fans in PBL classes, campus benches, and a proper projector screen.

Jeetoo Hospital Student Spaces

Take student issues to the M.S. and faculty officials. Push for a cleaner, better-lit mess, lockers moved from Ebene, 5 to 10 more chairs, aircon maintenance or fans, a coffee machine, and door locks so the student area stays closed to the public at night.

Alumni Support

A contact group for FMHS alumni, and an alumni platform for allied health professionals.

Clubs, Awareness and FMHS Week

Reactivate the Rehabilitation Club, bring back Occupational Therapy Day at POWA, and add a mental health mural, talks and workshops, student-led awareness days, and FMHS Week with tournaments and faculty merch.
